Principles of Animation - Anticipation

In your own words, what do you think is the principle of animation identified?

  1. It helps to communitate with the views and tell a story in there mind, by how the character moves his body gives the hint that he/she is going to do something awesome.

  2. anticipation examples: hammering and running. Anticipation is a pose or drawing is a preparation for the main action of an animated scene

  3. When preparing to press on a gas pedal for a vehicle. To emphasise a hard press on the pedal, one would anticipate with the foot rising to a high extreme before slamming downwards on the pedal.

  4. It identified that power comes from some where and how much anticipation is done correlates to the output but depending on use can create different meanings.

  6. Anticipation gives a clue(s) to the audience as to what next will happen in the animation. There is movement in the character which gives an idea of this. An example of this would be Tom and Jerry. The body language of Tom would change on seeing Jerry. On seeing this Jerry would start running from Tom.

  7. It engages the viewers and allow them to see the movements in the animation clearer an point their attention to where you want them to focus on
