Follow through and overlapping action adds realism to animation. For example a character is about to jump you would see the character crouch on the ground then jump and then the landing would occur.
The Follow through in this action would occur in the movement of landing, not necessarily in the crouching action, the crouching action is more like anticipation. Or better yet followthrough may be like the fluid movements of the hands a they follow through movement of the main body during the jump.
when a character comes to a complete stop! but you still see movements taking place. for eg. you run to the end of the room and back but your hair thought otherwise & continue moving
It is adding realistic movements to the characters an scene. For example if a man is Walking in a coat and turn and come to a complete stop, the coat should follow through after the charater stop.
Follow through allow a "appendage" of an object to move free to make it more graceful. an example of this is a characters hair as it moves
ReplyDeleteThis is show the density of an object and the forces acting upon further giving the animation realism to some extent.
ReplyDeleteWhen a stops abruptly and force is still acting on your body to are thrown forward before falling back. ( Thank you seatbelts)
Nice 2
DeleteThe movement of (slower moving/secondary) Dragging objects in relation to the main moving object. Eg. The movement of Shoelaces on a moving shoe.
ReplyDeleteAgreed

ReplyDeleteSound a repeat of what was said in the video not an interpretation.

ReplyDeleteAgreed tho saying realistic movement just makes me wonder you mean but the example makes up for that.
DeleteNice example bruh
DeleteAgreed but wording seems off tho maybe forgetting to mention the dragging behind and stuff.
